Even an example exploit is good for the internet at large: it shows how programs should _not_ be written, it imposes pressure on vendors to fix their products, if occurring often with some specific vendor, it gives a bad name for bad engineering => vendor will become extinct.
I want that the brightest possible people can participate in code breaking contests even in the future. If not, blackhat hacker and secret services will be the only ones - every code or encryption can be broken, and I want widespread knowledge & awareness about weaknesses in encryption, so that people can choose products on behalf of their own judgement.

Our human rights should be respected on the internet, the internet is as much part of the society as the hole EU aparatus is. Our free liberties must be defended at all costs and our safty should not depend on invasion in our private lives by any state or any EU institution without due proceedure in court with the right to a defence and fair trial. No one should ever be cut of from the internet since most of our daily lives for a long time have depended on it and the internets. Breach of privacy should be a punishable crime with hard penalties for those that commit them. Damages should also be awarded the victim. Those that wittness such a crime should be forced by law to report such missuse to the athauroties and should not be held responsible for blowing the wistle. The same laws that govern society should as well govern the internets. Laws that work against the free market and competition are harmful and should not be allowed. In reality flow of information can't be stopped just delayed. The Commision, partliament, telco ministers from the member countries should listen to what the people that elected them and not run a specific buisness arends for their lack of inovation and adaptation to new customer demands. An apointed watchman for internet users rights should be created and his responsibility and neccessary power to act should be set in law and promoted. If the usa can have such good protection europe should also be able to offer its citizens the same and even if the usa didn't have it europe should lead with good example. Jobs will be lost because of this and injustice and people that aren't guilty will be the victims of this politics. This will also fuel imigrant hatred and the redraw of people from politics. These negotiations must be open and not only one side must be listened to. Otherwise people will even more distance themselves from what eu is and wants to be.
